Natural Disaster Survival is currently documented with 13 disasters: Acid Rain, Avalanche, Blizzard, Deadly Virus, Earthquake, Fire, Flash Flood, Meteor Shower, Sandstorm, Thunderstorm, Tornado, Tsunami, and Volcanic Eruption. The roster and warning text below agree with the active community disaster index checked on September 14, 2026. Roblox does not publish this roster through the experience API, so treat it as a current working list and follow the warning shown in your server if it differs.

Fast rule: read the warning before following the crowd. Water calls for dependable height; collapsing structures call for open ground; sky hazards call for cover; infection calls for space. No location is safe against every disaster.

Current disaster index

Disaster and warningMain dangerFirst moveStatus
Acid Rain
Stay indoors
Rain damages players and exposed structure parts.Choose layered, intact cover and be ready to relocate.Community corroborated; exact damage needs live testing.
Avalanche
Avoid the path of the snow
Moving snow chunks knock players and damage structures.Move out of the mountain-facing lane and keep island-edge clearance.Community corroborated; added behavior is version-sensitive.
Blizzard
Find shelter and stay warm
Exposure steadily drains health while visibility falls.Enter a low, enclosed corner that still has an exit.Community corroborated.
Deadly Virus
Avoid crowds
Infectious droplets pass between nearby players.Create distance and watch where infected players travel.Community corroborated.
Earthquake
Get outside
Buildings, towers, vehicles, and loose parts destabilize.Reach open ground away from tall assemblies and edges.Community corroborated.
Fire
Keep distance from the fire
Burning parts spread through connected structures.Leave the affected building early and widen the gap.Community corroborated.
Flash Flood
Seek higher ground
Rising water damages players and undermines structures.Climb a stable route with more than one support.Community corroborated.
Meteor Shower
Watch the sky and take cover
Falling impacts break roofs and strike open ground.Use solid cover but keep an escape route from damaged pieces.Community corroborated.
Sandstorm
Dodge flying objects
Wind-driven debris and low visibility.Shelter on the side away from incoming debris.Community corroborated.
Thunderstorm
Avoid high and open places
Lightning punishes exposed high points and breaks structures.Descend from towers and choose low cover.Community corroborated.
Tornado
Stay clear of its path
The moving funnel destroys parts and flings players.Track the funnel and keep lateral escape space.Community corroborated.
Tsunami
Get to higher ground
A wave crosses the island and removes weak structures.Climb early, then stand on a supported interior portion.Community corroborated.
Volcanic Eruption
Get away from the volcano
Volcanic blocks travel from the spawned volcano.Increase distance and put cover between you and the source.Community corroborated.

Read the weather before the warning

Community documentation identifies several early cues. A snow mountain appearing beside the island points to Avalanche. A whitening horizon suggests Blizzard, while a sandy tint suggests Sandstorm. Storm clouds can narrow the possibilities to rain, flood, thunder, or tornado hazards. These cues buy positioning time, but they are not a substitute for the final warning.

Do not climb immediately just because clouds appear. High ground helps against water but makes Thunderstorm exposure worse, and a tall weak tower can fail during a flood. Hold a route that can move upward or downward until the game names the threat. The rounds guide explains how to use the calm window without committing too early.

Choose position by danger direction

Group hazards by where the pressure comes from. Acid Rain, Meteor Shower, and Thunderstorm arrive from above, so overhead cover matters. Flash Flood and Tsunami attack low elevation, so supported height matters. Earthquake, Fire, Tornado, and Avalanche turn structures into moving hazards, so distance, visibility, and an exit matter. Blizzard and Deadly Virus punish exposure in different ways: one pushes you toward shelter, the other away from people.

This is why the most crowded tower is often a poor universal answer. A route is strong only when it matches the announced disaster and leaves a second option. Read how to survive every disaster for the full decision sequence.

Handle Multi-Disaster conflicts

When disasters combine, identify the condition that can kill you fastest and find a position that partially answers the other. A flood plus thunderstorm needs height that is not the tallest exposed point. Earthquake plus meteor shower needs limited cover away from a large unstable building, such as a small separated overhang if the map offers one. Blizzard plus virus needs shelter with room to separate from other players.

Do not chase a perfect location after the hazards start. Short moves between defensible positions are safer than crossing the island through debris. Power levels and exact combination behavior need current server testing; the Power 7 badge guide focuses on preparation rather than promising a winning spot.

Difficulty is map-dependent

A disaster tier cannot be separated from the map, crowd, and combined hazards. Tsunami can feel simple when a durable high route is nearby and brutal on a flat or fragile map. Meteor Shower is random enough that even sensible cover can break. Deadly Virus depends partly on other players’ movement. Use the disaster tier list as a decision-risk comparison, not a guarantee.

What still needs live verification

Exact damage, warning punctuation, cloud behavior, repeat protection, spawn direction, physics interactions, and every Multi-Disaster combination can change. The official Roblox API confirms the experience identity and platform update timestamp, but it does not expose disaster mechanics. Follow the current server when it conflicts with a community record.
